50 years on: The babies are doing just fine

Half a century on the landmark Auckland Steroid Study continues to deliver good news, say researchers at the Liggins Institute.
Fifty years ago Amanda Wright (right) was a baby born too early. She and her mum were participants in a world-leading study that has saved many hundreds of thousands of pre-term babies. She now has the confidence that the then experimental treatment has had no consequences as she has become an adult. SPECIAL FEATURE: The babies are doing just fine
