Dietetic care includes the provision of safe, enjoyable, nutritionally adequate and appropriate food and fluids to meet people’s nutritional needs.
In this specialisation you will learn about applied nutrition, public health nutrition and food service management.
The Nutrition and Dietetics specialisation is designed to provide the specialised postgraduate training required to enable you to seek registration with the New Zealand Dietitians Board.
You can also conduct postgraduate research in this subject at the University’s Liggins Institute.
Where can Nutrition and Dietetics take you?
Completion of the Master of Health Sciences in Nutrition and Dietetics will enable graduates to seek registration with the New Zealand Dietitians Board in order to practise as a Dietitian in New Zealand.
