Multinationals: what about their local employees?

When it comes to research on multinational corporations, for every 50 papers about the expatriate employees, there is one paper on the local employees.
VIDEO: Snejina Michailova is Professor of International Business at the University of Auckland Business School. She researches people and knowledge-related issues in multinational corporations. At the 2024 Researchers with global impact event hosted by the University, she outlined the significant research gap on host country nationals, comprising 80 percent of the global multinational workforce.
