University of Auckland alumna Emma was a leading practitioner in environmental management and a keen proponent of encouraging women to study and practice in the scientific world. Her reputation for policy and advisory excellence was based on experience spanning the development, water and resource sectors, fisheries and the Antarctic. Her lifelong fascination with natural systems led to a drive and determination to do what she could to positively change the impact of human activity on the environment.
Donations to the Emma Waterhouse Scholarship for Women in Natural Sciences will go directly towards supporting ongoing undergraduate and postgraduate scholarships in this field and we greatly appreciate your support.
