Programme overview

This programme has been designed to enhance your skills and learnings gained from completing a Bachelor of Nursing.

It is an ideal programme for a qualified nurse to build their research capacity, upgrade their qualification, maintain currency in their clinical practice or expand their career path opportunities.

In most cases you will work in partnership with a clinical academic supervisor to complete a project designed with your current employer.

One year full-time or up to two years part-time.

  • NURSING 746 Evidence-based Practice and Implementation (30 points)
  • NURSING 782 Research Methods in Nursing and Health (30 points)
  • HLTHSCI 715 Research in Practice (30 points)
  • A Research Project - HLTHSCI 789 (30 points)

If you do not meet the entry requirements, the Postgraduate Certificate in Health Sciences in Advanced Nursing or in Mental Health Nursing are appropriate pathways to the BNurs(Hons).
