Single Use Reduction pilot
Tell me more...
Within the University we are facing challenges around the single use packaging. It is one of the main sources of waste in the Student Quad, the majority of which ends up in landfills.
Campus Life have partnered with the Sustainability and Environment team to launch the Single Use Reduction pilot (aka SURe!), which aims to work with key food retailers on campus to help reduce the amount of single use packaging. The pilot has been designed as part of the University's wider efforts to materialise the sustainability policy’s key principles and encourage the use of reusable items around campus.
