For schools
We offer a number of services to inform and encourage high school girls to consider engineering.
We provide information for secondary school students about studying with the Faculty of Engineering, as well as the career opportunities that exist. This includes visits to schools and community groups, hosting groups on campus, and having individual conversations with women-identified students who are considering a future in engineering.
Our Women in Engineering (WEN) Outreach team consists of of current engineering students who are available for school visits. They are able to reach out to your students via various options — from a hands-on engineering activity suitable for a classroom, to shorter presentations suitable for a careers evening, university information evening or a school assembly. Their aim is to introduce students to the huge variety of career opportunities in Engineering, and to showcase female engineers and engineering students.
