High school pathways for international students
If you’re interested in becoming an international student at the University, but you haven't yet completed high school, you could consider studying at a New Zealand high school.
New Zealand schools
New Zealand schools have an excellent reputation not only for the quality of their teaching and academic facilities, but also for their pastoral care of international students, which in many cases includes homestay accommodation with a family.
Most offer the National Certificate of Educational Achievement, which is fully accredited by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority and is recognised for admission by the University.
Some schools also offer the internationally recognised Cambridge International Examinations (A levels) or International Baccalaureate, which are also recognised for admission by the University.
Entry requirements
Entry to specific undergraduate degree programmes will depend on achieving the required rank score and any additional programme entry requirements for international students such as interviews, auditions or portfolios.
