Programme overview
This certificate will advance your skills in social and community leadership and build your ability to lead and innovate across community, government, not-for-profit and social-good sectors.
If you complete this certificate with a GPA of 5.0 or higher, you can credit the courses passed to the Master of Social and Community Leadership degree, provided that the postgraduate certificate has not been awarded.
This 60-point programme is flexibly designed to suit those working full-time or
part-time in community, government, not-for-profit and social good sectors, as
well as graduates from a range of disciplines.
This programme is delivered entirely online.
Programme structure
Take two 30-point core courses in leadership, ethics and systems, and social innovation, evaluation and programme design to complete this 60-point certificate.* The core courses involve applied learning that is highly relevant to current and future practice and leadership.

2024 entry requirements
Programme requirements
You must have completed an undergraduate degree at a recognised university (or similar institution) with at least 60 points (at least 15-20% of your degree) in social science subjects.
Alternatively, you must have completed an undergraduate degree in a related field (such as human services, social work or other social practice) at a recognised university (or similar institution) and have at least two years’ experience in community, government, not-for-profit or social-good sectors.

English language requirements
If you are an international applicant whose first language is not English you will need to provide evidence of your English proficiency.
You will require an IELTS Academic score of 6.5 with no bands less than 6.0. See alternative English language requirements.

Fees are set in advance of each calendar year and will be updated on this website. Fees are inclusive of 15% GST, but do not include the Student Services Fee, course books, travel and health insurance, or living costs. Amounts shown are indicative only. In addition to the tuition fees, there is a Student Services Fee of $8.88 per point, estimated at $532.80 for full-time study (60 points). Fees will be confirmed upon completion of enrolment into courses.
