Academic Programmes Committee

Terms of reference
- To review and make recommendations to Senate on all proposals for new academic programmes and qualifications, and major changes toexisting programmes and qualifications requiring CUAP approval.
- To approve other major changes to existing academic programmes and courses not requiring CUAP approval.
- To monitor changes made by faculties exercising their delegated authority to make minor amendments to academic programmes and coursesand to introduce new courses.
- .To oversee and monitor the review and evaluation of new academic programmes and qualifications, including reviewing and makingrecommendations to Senate on Graduating Year Reviews.
- .To approve, monitor and review micro-credentials and concurrently taught course arrangements.
Membership
- Pro Vice-Chancellor Education or nominee – Chair
- Three professorial members elected by the professoriate
- Three sub-professorial members elected by the sub-professorial staff
- A representative with responsibility for academic programmes of each faculty
- Pro Vice-Chancellor Global and Graduate Research (or nominee)
- Manager Academic Programmes
- One student representative
The Committee shall have the ability to co-opt up to two (2) members with specific expertise, knowledge or background as considered necessary in order to expedite the committee’s business.
The Chair can invite attendees as visitors or observers to consult widely with appropriate stakeholders.
