To advise Te Tumu Herenga on alignment of policies and services with the Waipapa Taumata Rau strategic plan, institutional frameworks, and strategies
To demonstrate commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and accountabilities
To ensure services, processes and collections are inspired by Te Tumu Herenga’s place in Aotearoa|New Zealand and Moana-Nui-a-Kiwa|Pacific
To advise Te Tumu Herenga on trends relating to research, learning, and teaching which could impact on Te Tumu Herenga operations
To identify issues relating to the Te Tumu Herenga statute, policies and procedures which impact on faculties, students, and associate members
To alert Te Tumu Herenga to new areas of research, teaching and learning to ensure collections meet needs
To champion diversity, inclusion, and equity within Te Tumu Herenga and the communities it serves
To serve as a reference group for Te Tumu Herenga as required, providing feedback on services and facilities including collections benchmarking and budgets.
