New Zealand's world-ranked university

• The University  is ranked 65^th in the world by the QS World University Rankings 2025, making it New Zealand’s highest ranked university. It is also the largest and most comprehensive, with more than 46,000 students, including international students representing around 107 countries.

As ranked by the 2024 QS World University Sustainability Rankings. The University’s fifth place has been assessed against 1,397 tertiary institutions worldwide and its first place in Oceania is assessed from 45 institutions in New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific.

• The University of Auckland also ranked within the top 20 for three of the Sustainable Development Goals individually.

• The University of Auckland ranked 152^th equal in the 2025 Times Higher Education World University Rankings, making it the top-ranked university in New Zealand.
  

• The University of Auckland is the highest ranked University in New Zealand on the ARWU rankings.
