Getting started with SciTrack
SciTrack is mainly used by staff or post-graduate students who work in laboratories that use chemicals or restricted biologicals.
You will need SciTrack access to:
- Purchase lab chemicals or consumables from the FMHS, SBS, or SCS central stores
- Raise a purchase order for a supplier listed in SciTrack.
These are suppliers of chemicals or restricted biologicals. - Maintain your inventory of chemicals and/or restricted biologicals.
Request for access or change in details
Please raise a ticket to IT Services to request:
- New SciTrack user access
- DLP role in SciTrack
- Additional cost centres to be available in SciTrack
- Change in location to a different sector on SciTrack
On the Staff Intranet, click the IT Services button. Type SciTrack into the search bar. Click the Request button under the Application Services SciTrack topic.
Please note: To access SciTrack from off campus you will need to set up a VPN connection.
Practise your SciTrack skills in the test environment. Note that you will need to reset your test SSO password to access the test environment.
