Anne Salmond hosts Artefact

After only two episodes, the Dame Anne Salmond-hosted Artefact programme has been receiving accolades from near and far.

The landmark series which tells the story of New Zealand’s past, present and future through a range of taonga has been described as beautifully well made, interesting, revealing and very emotional by freelance publicist and viewing consumer Tamar Munch in an interview with Radio New Zealand’s Kathryn Ryan. Munch said the series “should be compulsory viewing for all New Zealanders.”

Professor Richard Bedford, Royal Society Te Apārangi President described the first episode as stunning. He said it features the great navigation skills and stories of the Māori and Pacific peoples generally and is a beautifully crafted story of the past in the present.

Feedback form the Wairau Bar tangata whenua after the first episode was also outstanding. “This documentary is so beautifully put together. Ngā mihi nui to all those involved in its production. We have had great feedback from whanau about the first episode.”
