Searching tips for finding Junior Collection resources
As well as browsing the Junior Collection books on Levels 1 and M, a wider range of resources is available to you online and on request from the On-Demand Collection, through searching the Catalogue.
- Use juvenile as a keyword, not junior, e.g. juvenile literature, Māori juvenile literature, Pacific juvenile literature
- Create keyword searches that combine a collection area with a topic, title or author, e.g. picture books nature, picture books matariki
- Too many results? Once you have a search result, use the Catalogue filters to further narrow your search, e.g. picture books nature refined to Subject: Nature Fiction, or picture books matariki refined to Subject: Māori Language Materials.
For in-depth searching tips see the Education and Social Work Study and Research Hub, Classroom teaching resources module.
