Wā-sifika Fest kicks off at the Library on 7 August 2024!

In partnership with the Auckland University Pacific Island Student Association (AUPISA) and Ngā Tauira Māori, Te Tumu Herenga | Libraries and Learning Services invite our tauira to this inaugural event designed to reconnect our Māori and Pacific community with the Te Tumu Herenga village.
Theme: Indigenising Our Learning Journey

Wā-sifika Fest has been specifically created as a space for Māori and Pacific students to explore Indigenous teaching and learning methods within Te Tumu Herenga | Library and Learning Services.
Immerse yourself in the day’s activities, including:
- Interactive stations featuring our library collections
- Cultural workshops (including tivaevae, weaving, and Indigenous storytelling)
- Cultural performances
- Food
- Taonga displays
- Māori and Pacific career pathways
- Spot prizes throughout the day
