Stuart McCutcheon House is the University's largest and newest purpose-built self-catered accommodation building for new and returning undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Facility operated and pastoral care provided by the University of Auckland.

Stuart McCutcheon House (SMH) is located next to Parnell Rise and the Auckland Domain. It is a short walk to the Faculty of Arts building and the heart of the City Campus.

SMH first opened in January 2023, providing 907 beds in three- to five-bedroom apartments. There is also very limited availability for six-bedroom apartments. This Self-Catered Residence is available for undergraduate students in their second year and above and postgraduate students.

Stuart McCutcheon House operates 24/7 to ensure you have support available 24 hours a day. The Accommodation Management team provides personal support throughout your stay and arrange a number of social and recreational activities during the year, supported by the Resident Adviser Team.

Each apartment includes furnished bedrooms, kitchen and lounge, as well as a wireless internet connection.
You will need to provide your own linen and towels, however a linen pack can be purchased from the residence prior to arrival.
Electricity, water and laundry are included in the weekly rental costs.
