Book the facilities

Our new Sports Centre at 5-7 Wynyard Street is now open and available for bookings! 

We host regular drop in sport sessions which are open to members. You can find out more information on when these sessions are by checking out our timetable page. 

If you have a Recreation Centre membership, you have automatic access to drop in sessions. If you do not have a membership, for only $49 you can purchase a Sports Centre membership which gives you access the courts for drop in sessions for 4 months. You can also purchase a Rec Centre membership which will also give you access to these sessions, plus a gym membership! 

The Sports Centre is also available for private group bookings. Whether you are hosting a special event, a team training or just a group of mates looking to shoot some hoops, we can help! 

Specifications:

• 935m² floor space with composite rubber flooring
• 150-seat retractable bleacher seating and 70-seat tip and pull bleacher seating
• portable adjustable stage - minimum size 1x2m, maximum size 4x2m 
• touch screen audiovisual system
• onsite toilets

• $205/hr full hall
• $125/hr half hall

University of Auckland department or club pricing (incl GST):

• $100/hr full hall
• $60/hr half hall

This is available for meetings, team building exercises and more when not in use for member bookings and Group Fitness classes.

• $60/hr

This is available for small catered events, meetings, workshops team building exercises and more when not in use for member bookings and Group Fitness classes.

The Rec Room is a great space for clubs or groups to meet for small meetings or catered functions for up to 15 people.

• 38m2 room
• Table with seating for 10 
• Table Tennis Table
• Whiteboards
• Large screen with HDMI connectivity

• $32/hr

The Rec Room is also available as a free addition to any existing, paid bookings of our other spaces.

University clubs and faculty teams can hire our van and trailer. You must have a fully licensed driver over the age of 21.
