Memberships and booking classes
I'm in University of Auckland Accommodation - how do I load my membership?
Your membership will be set up automatically for you. Once you've moved in you can start booking classes on the Sport and Rec portal or visit the gym using your Campus Card to scan in. Your membership starts and ends on the same day as your Accommodation contract. Before your first visit please accept the Conditions of Entry after logging into the Sport and Rec portal using your single sign-on.
The correct rates aren't showing for me - how do I get the correct membership?
Please make sure you are signing in using single sign-on to see the correct rates. For new students, membership prices will only be available once the semester starts.
If you are alumni and graduated before November 2023 we’ll need to update your eligibility. Please contact us, providing your single sign-on details, and we’ll get your account updated. If your contact details have changed or you can’t remember your password please also update them here.
How do I cancel my monthly recurring membership?
To cancel your membership, please complete this form and one of the team will be in touch. Please note, there is a minimum term of eight weeks for memberships.
How can I add my booked class to my mobile or outlook calendar?
If opening on mobile: open the email containing class details. Scroll until you see the programschedule.ics attachment and open. Your calendars will pop up, select the calendar you want to add on and click done.
If opening on laptop: open the email containing class details. Open the programschedule.ics and follow the prompts.
Do I need to book for a class?
No, but booking will guarantee you a spot. If you do not book and a class is at
capacity, you will be turned away. You must always turn up prior to the class
start time even if you’ve booked, as your spot will be released once the class has
started. Bookings can be made on the Sport and Rec portal here.
Facility bookings
I’m booking for a club – how do I sign in?
You’ll need a club account set up to start booking. Our bookings team can provide you with this if you don’t already have one. Contact them here.
How do I request a booking?
You’ll need to use your single sign-on, club account or create a new account to book a space in our facility.
Please check the relevant facility schedule on the homepage before making a
request. Fill out a facility reservation request with all the information required. Your booking is not confirmed until we have reviewed your request and we will be in touch via email to confirm your booking or suggest alternative times.
What is included in my booking?
On the day of your booking, you'll have access to the space for the duration you’ve booked for, plus basic equipment such as nets, and use of the changing rooms and showers. Some sports with complex equipment set up will have an additional charge outlined on your booking confirmation. Please share as much information as possible with us on your booking request to ensure equipment is available.
How many weeks in advance can I book?
You can book approximately 2-4 weeks in advance. Our bookings team will be in touch within three business days to confirm details of your booking. If you request earlier than this, they will contact you closer to the request date. We do not accept bookings 48 hours within the booking date.
