Join us for Auckland Pride Month

Auckland’s Pride Parade is back for 2025! The event brings together our rainbow communities in a celebration of our unique mix of cultures, sexualities and gender identities.

University of Auckland will be there proudly expressing the joy and triumph of our university rainbow communities, as Tāmaki Makaurau celebrates Pride Month. All students and staff are welcome to attend and will receive a free t-shirt.

When: Saturday 15 February 2025, 7.30pm - 9.30pm

Where: Ponsonby, Auckland

To celebrate Pride Month, we are launching free student rainbow drop-in sessions.

Students from our rainbow community are invited to come along to meet our Rainbow Support Adviser, learn about out rainbow networks on campus and recieve pastoral support, help with legal name change as well as applying for a preferred name at graduation.

These sessions will run throughout the year, please drop in at a time that suits you in the slots listed below.

When: Every Tuesday from 10am-2pm, starting from 1 Feb

Where: Queer Space, room 311-302; one level above the quad.

As part of Tāmaki Makaurau’s Pride Month, the University of Auckland is celebrating queer life at the Big Gay Out. Come visit our stall at BGO for all the best vibes! Say hi, grab some free queer merch, chill out with us, play some games, and nab a free temporary tattoo.

Where: Coyle Park, Auckland

Shop our rainbow merchandise range at the Campus Store to support our Rainbow communities and provide everyone with clothes and accessories they can wear with pride. Each item has been designed in consultation with the University’s Rainbow Student Network and includes pronoun badges, a zip-up sweater, a mug, socks, and a lanyard. $2 from each item sale will be donated to groups within our University Rainbow communities.
