Accommodation
We offer accommodation options for first-year school leavers in our Halls of Residence, as well as flats and apartments suitable for undergraduate and postgraduate students. University residences are also available during the summer holiday period for students, groups and conferences. Our Accommodation Solutions team can also assist students seeking tenancy advice or guidance with finding private accommodation in Auckland.

Event management
The University has a variety of lecture theatres, seminar rooms and foyers/atriums that are available outside of teaching times for University-sponsored events and conferences. The Event Services team can provide end-to-end conference and event management and are the only provider of conference services to the University.

Hiwa Recreation Centre
Hiwa is a space for students, staff, graduates and local community to stay active through a wide range of activities. Hiwa is home to a lane swimming pool, spa, sauna, weights and cardio rooms, two large sports courts, seven group fitness studios (including combat sports and dance studios), rooftop turf, running track and plenty of space to hang out between classes. Hiwa services include fitness support, group fitness classes and sport leagues ranging from social to national tertiary leagues.

Information Commons - City Campus
These facilities consist of the Kate Edger Information Commons on the City Campus and the Grafton Information Commons on the Grafton Campus.
Lectures and seminars
Many lectures and seminars are open to the public, and are free of charge. The Winter lectures, Sir Douglas Robb and Inaugural (new professors') lectures attract wide interest.

Library - City Campus
The University of Auckland Library is the biggest university library in New Zealand, containing over 2.2 million items. The General Library is at 5 Alfred Street on the City Campus. There are smaller libraries at the Grafton and Tai Tokerau campuses and at the Leigh Marine Laboratory. Some individual departments also have library facilities.

Music Theatre
The Music Theatre at the School of Music hosts regular concerts by University students and visiting musicians.
