Career advice is available for students and graduates with disabilities who wish to discuss career planning and directions and how it links in with their studies.

The University has a dedicated student careers’ team, Career Development and Employability Services (CDES). They offer free career planning support for all current students and graduates (up to 3 years after graduation).

Workbridge employment consultant

Workbridge is a specialist employment service focused on supporting people with all types of disability, injury or illness. A Workbridge employment consultant is available to meet students with the aim of connecting them with prospective employers. The employment consultant provides one-to-one career counselling, including:

  • Career direction and options
  • Skills identification
  • Writing a good CV and cover letter
  • Job and internship search skills
  • Interview preparation
  • Advice on possible barriers to obtaining employment
  • Advice on disclosing/ not disclosing a disability
