English language requirements
The University has minimum standards for English language requirements.
Diagnostic English Language Needs Assessment (DELNA)
DELNA is an English language skills check required for all doctoral candidates. It's completely free, and the results do not appear on your official academic record. In addition, your results will not exclude you from any courses you are already enrolled in.
For more information, see DELNA.
English Language Enrichment (ELE)
ELE offers academic English language advice and English language development opportunities without charge to University of Auckland students and staff members at all stages of their university careers.
For online language resources, you can use on campus, see ELE Online.
If you want to improve your academic English to make sure you know the best ways to communicate your ideas and opinions, then you can join a language learning group.
Find out more here: Language learning groups.
