Our annual Health and Wellness Careers event will open your eyes to the incredible variety of career opportunities available to you as non-clinical health professionals.
About the event
Are you studying a non-clinical subject in the Faculties of Medical and Health Sciences or Science? This is a three-part career event tailored to help you discover the areas you could explore in your future work life.
- Connect with employers from the many and varied industries in the health sector
- Find out about the opportunities available to you in these organisations
- Learn about the skills necessary to enter these industries, and what you can be engaging in alongside your studies to make you more employable
This event is exclusively for the University of Auckland Students. We look forward to seeing you there!
Part one: Networking workshop
Learn how to have meaningful chats with employers. This will help you if you are planning to attend the employer event. This workshop will be led by a career consultant from the Career Development and Employability Services (CDES) Team.

Part two: Employer event
Take this opportunity to meet organisations recruiting students from non-clinical health subjects and find out more about the kinds of roles available to you. We will commence with a welcome, before beginning our 'career expo' portion of the event where you can speak with the employers attending, followed by a networking session over pizza.

Part three: Postgraduate pathway sessions
Learn more about the postgraduate pathways in Biomedical Sciences, Pharmacology, Physiology, as well as clinical programmes in Medical Imaging and Nutrition and Dietetics offered by the School of Medical Sciences. Programme leaders and advisors from the Faculty will be available to answer your questions afterwards over pizza and light refreshments.
