Useful resources for students in clinical programmes
As a clinical programme student, there are a range of resources that you can use to help you with your studies.
Student support
Student Support Advisers are based in each Faculty to speak with students about any kind of support you feel you need during your time at university; this can range from advice on how you manage your workload, what courses to enrol in, to what to do when experiencing anxiety or depression.
We can guide you through processes and refer you on to other support services at the University. We are a good first point of call for you if you need information on how you can be supported and what support services are available. We work through issues with all students in a confidential and judgement free space and advise you on how best to navigate your challenges.
Appointments can be made by contacting the team anytime via email: fmhssupport@auckland.ac.nz
Clubs and societies
There are a range of clubs that you may be able to join as a clinical student.
Some clubs and societies are specific to programmes, while other a general to the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences.
Māori and Pacific students
If you're a student of Māori and/or Pacific descent, you can be part of the Māori and Pacific Admission Scheme (MAPAS).
There is a range of academic and personal support that you can access with MAPAS.
