Enrolling in the Bachelor of Commerce
We know that enrolling in your Bachelor of Commerce can be confusing.
Please see the sample course planning charts.
It is important to know that enrolling is different depending on if you’re enrolling for the Bachelor of Commerce as a single or conjoint degree.
There is a section for both on this page.
When enrolling, we recommend that you:
- Enrol in your courses for both Semester One and Two. This is to avoid missing out on a place in your courses.
- Enrol in Semester One first, then enrol into Semester Two.
- Enrol as soon as you accept your offer of place. This is to avoid missing out choosing a course time that best works for you.
Please note, you must prioritise completing the Stage I Business Core courses before progressing further in your majors.
Enrolling into the Bachelor of Commerce as a single degree
You can use this information if you’re enrolling into a Bachelor of Commerce as a single degree. This means that you’re only studying a Bachelor of Commerce.
If you’re enrolling into your Bachelor of Commerce for the first time, you will enrol into your courses using Timetable Planner.
Enrolling for your first semester:
For your first semester of study, you choose to (1) enrol into individual courses or (2) enrol into a cohort of the programme.
1. Enrol into individual courses
We know a student has a very busy life, so you can choose to enrol into your courses individually to work out clash-free timetables for your required courses by yourself. This offers you the flexibility to find classes individually that suits your availability, so you can study while have other commitments.
Step-by-step enrolment steps
1. Sign into Student Services Online
2. Click the 'Enrol' icon, and go to 'Add classes with’
3. Choose 'Timetable Planner' and select the semester you want before clicking the green 'Timetable Planner' button
4. Click the 'Add Course' button
• Select 'Search By Subject' tab
• Select 'Subject' and 'Course'
• Click 'Add Course'
2. Enrolling into a cohort
This means that your courses are pre-selected as a package by your faculty to make sure you have a clash-free timetable. When enrolling into a cohort, you will see the same group of students in your lectures, team-based learnings and tutorials for all of your courses. This encourages you to make connections with the same group of students throughout your first year of study and this process saves time and simplifies your enrolment process. All you need to do is choose a cohort option that best works for you and let the system work out the clash-free timetables for your required courses.
Please note, enrolling in a cohort is only available in Semester One for the course we have pre-selected for you.
If the cohort option is full, you can choose the other option.
