As a PhD student, Asha appreciates the opportunity “to engage with diverse faculty members and researchers from around the world, and it enriches me to develop my research," she says. Attending numerous conferences and workshops has been invaluable in developing her research skills.
"The university staff are so helpful, and they always assist international students with their challenges," she notes. Asha has also participated in numerous academic and non-academic activities that have helped her develop leadership, communication, and creative skills.
She believes these activities have been crucial in supporting her mental stability and academic success. "Personally, I have participated in English language enrichment workshops, academic skills workshops, career development workshops, and many extracurricular activities."
Living in Auckland has been a refreshing experience for Asha, who enjoys the city's cultural diversity. "I love this opportunity to meet and share knowledge with people from all over the world," she says. Additionally, she loves exploring the beautiful environment in New Zealand.
