About Generation Changemaker

Generation Changemaker is the University's co-curricular programme for incoming study abroad and exchange students with a focus on sustainable innovation and entrepreneurship.

Is Generation Changemaker for me?

If you are an incoming study abroad or exchange student eager to delve into creative solutions for global challenges, collaborate with peers, and immerse yourself in a new culture and country, then Generation Changemaker is for you!

Drawing on human-centered design techniques, our evening workshops will focus on how individuals can take action, and find solutions to sustainability issues that matter most to us.

These workshops are designed to ignite the entrepreneur within you. You’ll come up with solutions to some of the biggest environmental, social, and cultural issues of our time – based on the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals. You’ll get to be a part of an entrepreneurially-minded community who is interested in making a difference.

The Generation Changemaker programme will help students to understand the importance and power of taking action, and will be followed by an opportunity to do just that at our volunteer field trip.

The full day field trip will take students to one of Auckland's beautiful islands and allow them to engage in a range of activites that help our native trees and birds thrive.

Before you begin your semester at the University of Auckland, you will be sent a link where you can register your interest for the programme.
