Pūtahi Manawa Masters and Honours Scholarships

Māori Masters and Honours Scholarships

For Māori students studying for a Masters or Bachelor with Honours degree, which includes heart health research, in Aotearoa New Zealand. Scholarships provide support for up to two years, on the condition that the research component of the degree qualifies for entry to doctoral study. The scholarship includes a tax-free stipend $23,500 per annum, tuition fees, plus $7,000 research expenses. Read more and apply.

AIMES Awards, AIMES Emerging Talent Awards and AIMES Scholarship Awards

The acronym AIMES stands for: The ARTS, INNOVATION (Science &  Technology), MUSIC, EDUCATION (Academic Excellence), SPORT; and SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY.

The North Harbour Club & Charitable Trust awards grants annually through the AIMES Awards to outstanding young people, aged 13 to 25, who are achieving excellence in these fields. To apply you must have lived, worked or trained in the North Harbour region and/or can demonstrate a strong affiliaion with the region for a period of not less than three calendar years. Erasmus Mundus Joint Master in Global Change Ecology and Biodiversity Management

The Programme is scheduled over two academic years and will be taught in English. Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters (EMJM) scholarships are available and awarded on a competitive basis to a subset of the applicants selected for admission. The scholarships cover the full 24-month duration of the programme for full-time students, including all participation fees, and provide a monthly stipend of 1,400€ to cover expenses such as living costs, accommodation, travel etc. Read more and apply.

 RAPHS Medical and Nursing Undergraduate Scholarships

The RAPHS Scholarship was established in 2008 with funds donated by Rotorua Area Primary Health Services Ltd to the Health Rotorua Charitable Trust.

Each year, two RAPHS Undergraduate Scholarships are offered to Rotorua residents in their first year of medical or nursing training, with the intent of supporting the training and retention of local medical practitioners.

  • One scholarship is available to a student who has been accepted into the first year of a nursing degree
  • One scholarship is available to a student who has successfully completed their first year of study at the University of Auckland or University of Otago, and has been accepted into the first professional year of the medical degree programme.

The Medworld Institute Medical Student Scholarship

The Medworld Institute offers an $8,000 scholarship for MBChB students at Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland.
