Ken Wilson Clarinet Prize

The Ken Wilson Clarinet Prize was established in 2013 by Mrs Elisabeth Wilson to commemorate her husband, the late Ken Wilson, who dedicated his life to music and, from an early age, to perfecting his clarinet playing. As well as being one of New Zealand’s eminent clarinettists, he was a composer and teacher – at the University of Auckland and elsewhere.

The main purpose of the Prize is to reward excellence in a talented student clarinettist, either in performance or in clarinet composition.

You do not need to apply for this scholarship, award or prize or complete an online application form. It is awarded on the recommendation of the relevant faculty or University of Auckland committee.
