A Scholarship to support first year undergraduate students who have achieved academically but are experiencing hardships that potentially limit their opportunities or who may have been disadvantaged due to their personal circumstances.

Tenure: Three years
For: Assistance with study (including one year of accommodation for Tier 1)
Number on offer: Up to 100
Offer rate: Annually
Value: Up to $25,000, awarded in three tiers (see Regs. 2 to 5)

The University of Auckland Academic Potential Scholarship acknowledges that some talented students may face significant barriers to tertiary education and takes into account a number of factors that can impact on an individual’s ability to participate at university. They recognise students who have achieved academically, but who are experiencing hardships or who may have been disadvantaged due to their personal circumstances.
