How to apply
Applying for a Summer Research Scholarship is a two-step process: read our guide on how to apply.
Applications for the 2024/2025 summer have now closed.
To be considered for a Summer Research Scholarship, ALL applicants must complete their application in two steps:
Step 1. Apply for admission to the Summer Research Scholarship Programme
Step 2. Apply for a scholarship and a project
If you wish to apply for projects in two or more faculties you must complete a separate scholarship application for each relevant faculty (Step 2). You only need to apply for admission to the Summer Research Scholarship Programme once (Step 1).
Before you apply
- Select the project(s) that interest you. You can apply for projects in more than one faculty but you can only hold one scholarship.
- Read the Summer Research Scholarships Regulations and check that you are eligible to apply.
- Have electronic copies of the following ready:
- Your CV details
- Your official academic transcript (current University of Auckland students can print their unofficial transcript from Student Services Online; non-University of Auckland students will need a copy of their official transcript)
- Any project-specific information that has been requested by the faculty (as noted in the project description)
Documentation
If you are new to the University, you will need to provide certified documents. We will email you once you have submitted your application to request the required documents. To be eligible for these scholarships, you must provide the requested documents as quickly as possible. Documents for the Application for Admission can be supplied after the scholarship and projects closing date.
