Via

Via is the University’s learning abroad portal and serves as a starting point for students to learn more about international opportunities and connect with advisers.

How to log in to the learning abroad portal

You can log in here to University's learning abroad portal.

University of Auckland students are granted automatic access to the University's learning abroad portal when logging in with single-sign on (SSO details which are your username and password).

Please log in with your University email address (e.g. abcd123@aucklanduni.ac.nz), and not a personal address, to ensure that your profile syncs properly. Please use Google Chrome as your browser (it's not compatible with other browsers).

Students

If you are not currently enrolled at the University of Auckland, but would like to still browse international opportunities available, you can use the visitor view and search our programmes.

Students who have been employed by the University, currently or in the past, may find that they cannot log into the University's learning abroad portal directly as they have a staff profile in Student Services Online which requires special permissions for access. For instructions to log in as a student, please contact 360international@auckland.ac.nz.

Dashboard

When you log in for the first time, you'll need to create a traveller profile and complete a profile matching quiz. On your homepage, the Traveller Dashboard, you can see and edit your profile, view and send messages from your message centre, and keep track of applications you've started. You'll also find required forms for any programmes you've been accepted and committed to, and quick links to your favourite programme pages.

Please note that each application on your Traveller Dashboard is for a particular term. If you wish to apply for the same programme, but in another term, withdraw the application on your dashboard and start a new application for the appropriate term from the programme page. You cannot re-submit an expired programme application for a future term.

Programmes

Click over to the Programmes Dashboard to learn about various overseas programmes and exchange partners, and apply for opportunities of interest. You can filter programmes by destination, name, type and dates.

360 International Exchange Programme and our Exchange Partners
Under Programmes, you can search each of our exchange partners by name, city or country. Each exchange partner university has a profile page which contains important information such as courses and restrictions. These pages will help you identify suitable partner universities. For more information on how to apply, please see semester exchange.

Once an application is complete, please submit it by the deadline given. If you need to make any changes, please reach out to the programme contact listed on the relevant programme page.

Interested in a programme listed in the University's learning abroad portal, but can’t find an application? If the programme page indicates "request to apply" and there isn’t a link to Apply Now, then there are no open terms at this time, or the application must be completed through an external programme provider. Clicking the "request to apply" button will let the designated programme contact know you're interested in this opportunity. They can provide you with more information and answer your questions.
