Programme overview
The PGDipMaterialsEng is for those who aspire to a career in materials processing and production, manufacturing, new materials deployment and development disciplines either in a technical or management role. This is well-suited to professionals looking to upgrade their knowledge in the materials engineering field.
Programme structure
Materials engineering challenges us to discover and design new materials that look in detail at the structure, properties and performance of basic resources that make up the world. Innovations in this space are often at the core of new technologies that change the way we live. The PGDipMaterialsEng offers a balanced understanding of materials design, synthesis and deployment, whilst cultivating management skills.
Specialisations in biomaterials engineering, energy and environmental materials, and advanced materials processing are also available.
You'll also need to meet other requirements, including time limits and total points limits. See Postgraduate enrolment.
