Auckland Bioengineering Institute celebrates National Biomechanics Day 2018
Originally published: 23 April 2018
The National Biomechanics Day demonstrations took place at the Auckland Bioengineering Institute (ABI) on the 11th of April. The successful event saw great engagement between the ABI volunteers who were demonstrating and the high school students who attended. Students had the opportunity to explore the motion capture of poi spinning as well as heart and lung simulations. Other highlights from the day include the Big Experiment with IMeasureU, the instrumentation show-and-tell and the computation module on the biomechanics of the jaw.
Well done to the ABI team for putting together this successful event! It was great for ABI to be a part of this worldwide celebration of the National Biomechanics Day, which started in New Zealand on the day and moved to other parts of the globe.
