Women of Colour Staff Network
A welcoming space where Women of Colour of every race, ethnicity, culture and religion can come together as family.
What we do
The network is a wonderfully supportive space where our experiences are understood and valued. We are:
- a place to belong.
- a place to share our stories.
- a place to learn about diversity, equity and inclusion.
- a place to network.
- a place to have a unified voice at the University.

Let's explore culture through food
These events are centered around the significance of food in creating and fostering meaningful relationships. Lunch and Learns provide a welcoming space for members to explore diverse cultures, religions, and experiences, as well as gain insights about themselves, all while enjoying a meal together. Dinners offer an opportunity to savour new, local and authentic restaurants recommended by our members and to socialise in a relaxed setting outside the workplace.
Dinners: Bi-monthly
Lunch and Learns: Bi-monthly
Women of Color is not a biological designation. It is a solidarity definition. A commitment to work in collaboration with other oppressed women of color who have been minoritized. It is a term that has a lot of power.
