Te Waka Tūhura Elam Galleries
We encourage Elam students to present work or curate public exhibitions at our student-centred, professional-standard galleries.
Te Waka Tūhura Elam galleries are professional gallery spaces where students can show their work, curate exhibitions, and host events. A team of students run the galleries and ensure they are welcoming, accessible spaces where our community of artists can share their work with each other, the wider University and the general public.

Galleries nearby
Gus Fisher Gallery, Window, Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki, Artspace Aotearoa and Objectspace are nearby and we maintain close connections with them.
In addition, there are a number of artist-run spaces and dealer galleries in the central city, on Karangahape Road, Upper Queen Street, Ponsonby and Newmarket, all of which are within walking distance from the University's City Campus.
Not only do they give you a chance to see some of the most significant work being exhibited in New Zealand (some of it by Elam staff and graduates) but they are a vital part of the creative life of Auckland City.
