Pain and Discomfort Service
Some staff members can experience discomfort at work, which if not properly managed could deteriorate into chronic pain or cause absences. Whether due to pre-existing conditions, or exacerbated by work, it is in everybody’s interests to minimise these effects and have staff well and at work. With early reporting and intervention, we are able to support staff suffering from pain and discomfort without the need to submit a formal ACC claim with no guarantee of acceptance.
Once a request is submitted a copy of the Damstra report will be sent to Wellnz, and one of their Wellbeing Advisors will make contact with the staff member to:
- Obtain verbal consent
- Conduct a needs assessment
- Advise and arrange the next step (usually a worksite assessment and/or physio treatment)
How to access the pain and discomfort service:
- Complete a Damstra Incident-no injury report (Subject: Pain and discomfort)
- Complete a pain and discomfort treatment request by emailing Health, Safety and Wellbeing
In the email, please include:
- Your name
- Employee number
- Business unit
- Contact number
- Event ID (from the email notification received after submitting your Damstra report)
