Equity at Auckland Law School
Auckland Law School is committed to maintaining and promoting an inclusive, supportive and safe environment for staff and students from all backgrounds.
Welcome to Auckland Law School’s Equity page. Auckland Law values diversity and is committed to equity, inclusion and creating a safe and supportive environment which fosters learning and growth for all students and staff.
Auckland Law is committed to attracting the strongest students from all walks of life and widening its intake of students from diverse backgrounds. Our targeted admissions and support schemes for Māori and Pasifika students, students with disabilities, students from low socio-economic
backgrounds, and students from refugee backgrounds are important for maintaining and improving our vibrant community. Auckland Law advocates for policies which promote equal opportunities for all, prevents harassment, bulling, sexual misconduct, and empowers students and staff to become leaders nationally and internationally.
Auckland Law has a dedicated team of people who advise, promote and monitor adherence to the University’s Equity policies for students and staff. This team is comprised of the Associate Dean (Equity), the Associate Deans Māori and Pasifika, the Law School Equity Group, and the AULSS Equity Officers together with the University’s Equity Office.
