Students may apply for and participate in:
International courses
Since 2016, Auckland Law has collaborated with the University of Arizona Indigenous Peoples Law and Policy Program. Auckland students with an interest in Indigenous Peoples law and policy may now study in Arizona.
The Law School also offers an occasional course on international law and Indigenous peoples with the Law Faculty, University of the South Pacific.
United Nations fellowships
The United Nations Indigenous Fellowship Programme (IFP) is held annually and is accessible in English, French, Russian and Spanish. Fellows are trained together for a period of 4 to 5 weeks in Geneva. The date of the training programme usually coincides with the annual meeting of the Expert Mechanism on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (June/July). Candidates must apply to be considered for the Programme.
