The Russell McVeagh Banking and Finance Law Masterclass series is designed to provide practical insights and discussion on a range of interesting topics in the banking and finance law space.
The course is led by Jesse Fairley, a partner in the Russell McVeagh Banking and Finance team. Jesse has extensive experience advising on a range of complex and innovative financing transactions, with a focus on acquisition and leveraged finance, real estate finance, syndicated and club lending, structured finance and debt capital markets.
Topics for the classes:
Sustainable Finance – 19 August 3.30 - 4.30pm
A practical introduction to sustainability-linked loans and green bonds, including understanding the legal and market frameworks, and practical examples in the New Zealand economy
Secured lending transactions – 9 September 4 - 5pm
How does the PPSA work and what are the key practical issues in the context of a complex secured lending transaction
Leveraged finance – 7 October 4 - 5pm
A practical case study working through the key considerations and issues that arise on a typical leveraged finance transaction
