Career Preview Programme

This programme is designed to help Part I law students reflect on their first year of study, catch a glimpse of what a legal profession might entail, and prepare for the transition into Part II and beyond.

How it works

This programme is open to Part I University of Auckland Law students and will run in Semester One & Semester Two.

Session 1 Welcome Workshop

Session purpose:

  • To reflect on your study journey so far. How are things going? How do you feel about your pathway? What's it like doing a conjoint?
  • The session will also feature a Q&A with a Student Support Adviser who will talk through entry into Part II, and a senior student who will also share his experience at law school.
  • Understand the connection between your preferences and strengths, and how this in turn provides clues about your future pathway or direction.
