Over 90% of civil proceedings filed in the High Court of New Zealand settle before trial. So, how do lawyers settle cases? Through negotiation and mediation. Join leading Aotearoa mediator and Auckland Law School Fellow Nina Khouri for a series of lunchtime lectures designed to give you a taste of mediation and negotiation as processes for resolving civil disputes.
This tasting series is for anyone interested in dispute resolution, including (but certainly not limited to) those considering a career in civil litigation.
Open to all University of Auckland Law Students.

How does mediation work in practice? What’s effective advocacy in this context?
