As Kaiārahi at Te Wāhanga Ture - Principal Leader & Cultural Advisor at the Auckland Law School, Wiremu Tipuna (Ngāti Kahungunu ki Wairoa) focuses on engagement with iwi Māori communities, schools, and businesses.
He develops and implements strategies for the recruitment, retention, success and completion of Māori students. In addition, Wiremu supports the inclusion of Vision Mātauranga into the faculty’s research. He also oversees the faculty’s Tuakana programme to assist students with academic success.
Wiremu works closely with the Dean and faculty staff to develop and execute plans to achieve Māori staff equity goals.
