The most valuable aspects of my Master of Laws programme at the Auckland Law School include its specialized curriculum in corporate and commercial law, which aligns with my career goals. The programmes practical approach allows me to apply my theoretical knowledge through case studies and real-world scenarios. Additionally, the global perspective offered by the programme enhances my understanding of both New Zealand and international legal frameworks. Networking opportunities within the university also contribute significantly to my professional development.

The opportunity to learn from staff who are leaders in their fields has been invaluable—they bring real-life scenarios and share experiences that offer insights beyond textbooks. The support from lecturers and staff, coupled with access to excellent study resources and facilities, has made my academic journey here truly rewarding.

As an international student, my experience has been incredibly enriching. I appreciate the diversity in the classroom, which has allowed me to learn from the perspectives of peers from various cultural and professional backgrounds.

What I enjoy most about my studies is the intellectual challenge and the opportunity to delve deep into complex legal issues. I particularly enjoy the interactive nature of the classes, where engaging discussions and debates with classmates and faculty broaden my perspective. The blend of theoretical learning with practical application keeps me motivated and passionate about the subject matter.

My career plan is to continue advancing in the field of corporate governance and law, with a particular focus on regulatory compliance and corporate governance. I aim to take on governance or legal advisory roles within multinational corporations or global regulatory bodies.

My advice for those considering studying at the University of Auckland is to embrace the opportunity.
