Studying at Auckland Law School was really the only option for me, being the number 1 Law School in the country, it seemed like the best place to learn about the legal system.
The University of Auckland was my first choice for continuing my academic journey because
of its exceptional reputation for academic excellence, diverse and innovative programmes, and vibrant campus life.
I was motivated to choose Auckland Law School after hearing enthusiastic recommendations from alumni and current students who emphasise its potential to pave the way for a successful future. Studying here has enabled me to expand my knowledge in my chosen fields, acquire new skills and broaden my perspectives.
What makes Auckland Law School so valuable is its practical experiences, for example, its interpreting cases, which teach practical and transferable skills that can be used both in the classroom and in my career. As well as this, Auckland Law School has a wide calibre of staff who are leading experts in their fields. This guides the development of critical thinking and analytical skills essential for a successful legal career.
My experience as a UoA international student has been truly exceptional. The lecturers, including tutors, have been highly knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely invested in my journey. The support staff has been incredibly helpful and accommodating, making the transition to university life and the academic environment smooth and stress-free. Lecturers, tutors, mentors, and friends have been supportive whenever I reached out for help. Their assistance has significantly lessened the weight and pressure on my shoulders, enabling me to keep striving and make the most out of my educational journey. I am grateful for the nurturing environment and the network of support that has been instrumental in making my experience at UoA so enriching and fulfilling.
Studying here at the University of Auckland, I have had many opportunities outside the classroom, which is why it was my first choice. I am a Well Being Ambassador, contributing to the well-being team's efforts in designing and executing various projects and initiatives while representing the student's voices. Also, I am working alongside the campus care management team, actively participating in Study Fono sessions every Monday and offering support wherever required.
