Career Advisors Update (Webinar) - Register now | 6 March | Targeted specifically to our Career Advisors across Aotearoa. Tune in online for a CA-101 update that will cover all the basics. Our team are online behind the scenes ready to answer any questions you might have. |
Auckland Career Advisor Breakfast - Register now | 13 March | Waipapa Taumata Rau invites all Auckland Career Advisors to a breakfast held at Old Government House. Join the team for breakfast, come to our course speed-dating session, and end your morning with a tour of our newest Arts and Education and Social Work building. |
Parent/family webinar - Register now | 13 March | We know supporting your young person can be tricky. This webinar is aimed at equipping parents and other support people with key information such as NCEA subject selection and the importance of external success at high school. |
STEM Conference - Find more information here | 3 & 4 April | Our STEM Conference is aimed at engaging directly with subject teachers (and importantly the increasing number of non-specialised teachers who are asked to teach STEM), to better align secondary and tertiary STEM curriculum, strengthen school relationships, and increase participation and success across STEM. |
Scholarship Writing | Throughout Term 2, details TBC | We are committed to supporting our Te Tai Tonga (South Auckland) learners into higher education. Our Pacific Adviser will be hosting scholarship writing nights for year 12 learners and families. |

STEM Online | Accessible throughout the year | STEM Online NZ is a free interactive teaching and learning resource for NCEA external standards in STEM subjects designed specifically for New Zealand teachers and students. |
Maths Challenges South Maths Challenge |
15 May - 14 August | Localised place-based math competitions based on the National Math Ex competition. These competitions make math fun, supporting year 7-year 10 learners with math confidence, team-work, and skill development. |
Whāia Te Pae Tawhiti | Registrations close 31 May | This is a transformative an on-campus experience for year 13 Māoristudents who live outside Auckland delivered by Te Tari o Te Ihonuku –The Office of the Pro-vice Chancellor Māori. Future Me | 3 July 4 & 5 Dec |
Future Me is an on-campus experience for junior Māori and Pacific learners aimed at early tertiary exposure and informed subject selection as learners move into their senior years of high school. Nominations are submitted by participating schools. |
Buchanan | Runs throughout the year | A programme delivered across 5 schools with the aim of providing intensive academic and mentoring support to promising Years 10 to 13 students to significantly increase their chances of achieving University Entrance. |
Pacific Academy | Runs throughout term 3 including holidays | A Math and Science tutoring programme for Māori and Pacific year 11-13 learners Our 3 Academies across Auckland
