Commerce and Property
School leavers can be better prepared for a BCom or BProp by studying over six weeks before Semester One begins.
If you’re a Year 13 student intending to start a Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Property with us in Semester One 2025, you can take one course from the University of Auckland’s Summer Start programme. This allows you to experience university life and get started on your degree early.
You can get more general information and requirements for Summer Start on the webpage.
There are six core required first-year courses that all Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Property students must take. These are BUSINESS 111, BUSINESS 112, BUSINESS 114, BUSINESS 115, INFOSYS 110, and either STATS 108 or STATS 100. BUSINESS courses are only on offer during the regular first and second semesters each year.
The following are the Business School course recommendations for Summer Start based on your potential study needs.
