Study and social space
The recently refurbished B201 building with a ‘world-leading’ 6 star green design has plenty of spaces for students to study and socialise.
More than just a study space
The 50-year-old former Social Sciences Building on Symonds Street has been refurbished in a sustainable, adaptive reuse project and was officially opened in 2023.
The building now holds new lecture theatres and seminar rooms, a state-of-the-art atrium, a café, a student engagement area and new Anthropology labs. It also has plenty of seating areas on each floor for students to study and socialise.
The building also features staff and postgraduate research offices opening onto attractive shared spaces with impressive views across the city, and green roofs with native plants.
