Faculty of Arts Student Emergency Fund
A fund is available for all enrolled full-time and part-time undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Faculty of Arts who are facing financial challenges.
Criteria for funding
The fund is intended to provide immediate, short-term, emergency support for students living in New Zealand who are encountering an unexpected financial crisis that threatens their university study.
The fund can help with short-term emergencies, such as living costs, to cover things such as groceries, AT Hop card top-ups, and textbooks.
The fund is unable to support:
- Payment of tuition fees
- Payment of halls accommodation fees
- Payment of debt accumulation
- Membership fees
- Parking tickets and fines
- Flights
Note: Applicants can request financial support up to $500. The selection committee may consider requests for support in excess of $500 on a case-by-case basis.
